Nosara, Costa Rica Restaurants
There are many excellent restaurants in Nosara, most with a selection of local seafood and typical Tico dishes. For breakfast Rosie's is our favorite choice with Cafe de Paris running a close second. At Lunch or just for a mid-day snack, our friend Ryan, at his new Zen Cafe, offers up some great food and even better Smoothies. The Dr. Cacoa is a must. On our last visit, the chefs at the Gilded Iguana, under new ownership, put out some incredible food. Great meals with a fantastic view can be found at both Vista del Paraiso and Lagarta Lodge. Some of the best deals can be found at Olga's in Pelada, and Poncho's, with some of the finest shrimp or fish taco's that have ever hit your taste buds.
Really, we've never had a bad meal in Nosara. Everyone here has their own favorite spots, so ask a local for some advice. Most hotels have restaurants, and you shouldn't have to go far to find some good food.

One of our absolute favorites happens to be a short drive 9 kilometers to Playa Garza called Senora Dona Ana's Kitchen. The seafood specialties are incredible and the family is even more outstanding. For a truly fantastic food experience we highly recommend stopping at the road side Soda located a few kilometers outside of Nicoya. Look for the sign for Tacos on the right side of the road. We have never been disappointed and the Authentic Tico Food is always prepared with love and kindness.
